North-Link M1 Ltd is the O&M contractor with responsibility for the operation of the Toll plaza along with the maintenance of the 53km of motorway on behalf of the concessionaire CRG.
North-Link staff collect the tolls and maintain the road infrastructure to the high standards required under the PPP contact.
RESPONSIBILITIES & MAIN ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- The hands-on implementation of the day-to-day Project Road maintenance requirements.
- To provide call-out cover to out-of-office hours emergency responses.
- To carry out routine maintenance activities including:
- Traffic Management
- Winter Maintenance
- Pavement repairs
- Emergency Response
- Bridge Maintenance
- Accident Damage Repair (e.g. safety & boundary fence repair)
- Road Furniture cleaning
- Landscaping / Grass cutting / Weed control
- Litter collection
- General maintenance duties
- To undertake all allocated maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- 2nd level education
- Class C drivers licence
- Valid Safe Pass holder
- Driver CPC
Up-to-date training/qualifications in:
- Traffic Management
- Safety barrier installers course
- H&S Related training - First Aid, Fire Warden,
- Manual Handling.
- Safety Rep.
- Other complementary work-related training
courses/qualifications - Class EC drivers licence
- Relevant experience with a
background in Motorway / Road
Construction / Maintenance. - Evidence of practical experience in
one or more of the routine
maintenance activities listed above - An understanding of and
commitment to health and safety
practices and principles - Experience in a similar role
- Experience of motorway/road
construction/maintenance - Knowledge of the standard methods,
equipment, materials, tools, and practices
used in performing the road maintenance
activities
Skills/Abilities - Ability to work on own initiative and
as part of a team - Good standard of written and spoken
English
