EGIS Rail have a newly created position for a Systems Integration Manager that will be involved in various Rail projects. One of our biggest projects at present is the Cork Area Commuter Rail Programme. This project focuses on the Rail signalling and communications improvements which will facilitate the planned increases in rail capacity and service frequency, bolster the signalling system's reliability, and support Iarnród Éireann’s continued safe operation of the railway.

In rail our Irish team is well established, having designed Dublin’s first Luas (tram). Egis is a leader in rail across the globe – in fact we’re currently involved in two out of every three light active light rail projects in the world. We’re involved the metro in Riyadh, in Thessaloniki, the Grand Paris Express and the HS2 in the UK. Job description

  • Provide lead in all project management and contractual functions for the successful delivery of this project on time, within budget and to project requirements.
  • Generate a collaborative culture throughout the project team and stakeholders.
  • Fulfil the duties of NEC Project Manager in all areas of contract administration and construction management on behalf of IÉ.
  • Pro-actively and robustly monitor, manage the programme.
  • Assess progress payments and early warning notices.
  • Resolve all claims and compensation events within the NEC ECC timelines and produce monthly reports on key areas.
  • Make recommendations and provide advice to IÉ on all contract related matters.

Profile

  • Minimum 12 years as a Project manager, preferably within a rail infrastructure environment.
  • Experienced in using NEC 3 or 4 contracts, preferably Option C - target cost contracts at post-contract stage.
  • Degree in either Project or Construction Management, or Engineering or related project management qualification.
  • Desired to have NEC4 ECC PM Accreditation.
  • Perform the duties of the NEC Project Manager in accordance with the NEC Conditions of Contract.
  • Must be analytical, possess good negotiating skills, exhibit excellent communication skills, commercial awareness, have a robust and challenging mindset.
  • Provide leadership in setting and implementing technical and quality compliance.
  • Previous hands-on experience of delivering NEC target cost contracts or other target cost contracts.
