This position will work within our Water Service Line for flood prevention and adaption activities in the Philippines. We shall be tasked with proposing improvements to flood risk management, planning and development of flood protection infrastructures.

Job description

  • Analyze alternative schemes of achieving the project objectives by removing the non-essential features which does not contribute to the intended function and lessen the cost of the project without sacrificing the quality and integrity of the structure.
  • Provide the necessary functions in the project based on value engineering principles.
  • Analyze and audit the project’s performance based on value engineering
  • principles.
  • Analyze alternative construction methodology and material.
  • The VE/VA Specialist may follow the principles of VE/VA in accordance with the DPWH Guidelines to Value Engineering (2015), NEDA Value analysis Handbook (2009), and other applicable references/ standard.
  • The Value Engineer will assist the structural, River Training specialist in providing inputs on the Project Implementation work plan / methodology

Profile

  • Licensed Civil Engineer
  • At least 5 years of experience in the value engineering/value analysis of any infrastructure project
  • Previous experience working with International Funding Institutions would be beneficial
  • International project exposure
  • English language in business environment
  • Holding previous positions such as Value Engineer, Value Specialist, Value Analysis Engineer, Value Analysis Specialist
