As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will have knowledge and experience in pre and post-contract management and procurement within the railway commercial contract management. The senior commercial manager will be expected to utilise experience and knowledge of supplier relationships and contract management to drive efficiencies in the supply chain.
You will be working as part of projects and programmes to deliver strategic aims of their designated portfolios. You could be working on nationwide rail projects through to commercial decarbonisation programmes helping us achieve sustainability for future generations.

Qualifications and must-haves for candidates
- Educated to degree level and member of a professional body
- Good understanding of NEC3-4
- Experience in leading and project commission
- Experience negotiating and procuring Contracts including testing the robustness of costs
- Experience of working within a collaborative culture or/ and a mature approach to relationship management with a long-term strategic focus
- Able to prioritise the delivery of the objectives of their role
- Good communication skills
- Ability to performance manage and hold to account
- Experience in managing and developing assistant and intermediate-level commercial team members.
