Our growing business is searching for a qualified materials quality manager to oversee our inventory and purchasing operations. If you are an experienced and competent individual with in-depth knowledge of inventory management systems and procedures, then we’re looking for you! In this role, your duties will include maintaining budgets, analyzing materials, and researching vendors.

 

Our ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. To excel in this role, material managers need in-depth knowledge of supply chain and budgeting processes. Ultimately, you are tasked with ensuring all our departments have adequate access to the materials they need.

You r will provide leadership for all project procurement activities to ensure that they are in accordance with the client’s and contractual specifications and Quality is assured.

You  will directly be reporting to the Procurement Director and will regularly interact with representatives from a variety of functional groups, including program management, engineering, and construction.

Job description

  •  Determine the metrics/ KPI’s to monitor supplier quality performance.
  • Establish and define corporate guidelines for quality requirements for each procured item.
  • Establish an audit procedure/ process to perform audits to assess the supplier’s processes and capabilities.
  • Perform root cause analysis to take corrective action if quality issues or defects arise with procured items
  • Propose and incorporate alternative solutions to existing problems for continuous improvement. Maintain a database of continual improvements implemented in the project.
  •  Ensure the suppliers meet all statutory, regulatory, contractual and company requirements
  • Maintain supplier quality records and ensure data privacy is maintained by a robust system.
  • Develop qualification programs on tasks concurrent with other phases such as design and fabrication to evaluate better and minimize future quality problem.
  • Enhance supplier relationships by developing and continually improving upon post-award supplier processes
  •  Develop and drive supplier scorecards (Quantitative) and ongoing supplier performance improvement working with supply base
  • Monitor and improve inventory deficiencies, quality of inventory, and storage cost
  •  Ensure getting the approvals for each deliverable within the timeline.
  •  Inspect supplied items in quantities, qualities, supplier time, etc.
  •  Identify problems in the procurement process and resolve them in a timely manner
  •  Ensure correct commercial engagement of subcontractors
  •  Complete and distribute the contract initiation and completion forms
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures
  • Ensure procurement and reconciliation of works and services are carried out in accordance with procedures to best value and prevent delays
  • Review change requests continuously with project teams, implement necessary actions
  • Manage the contract library by securely storing, organizing, and retrieving contracts
  • Track auto-renewal and expiration dates, ensure key compliance dates and conditions are fulfilled
