Job description

Perform the drawings, layouts, schematics needs issued from the experts and engineers in charge of the system studies

  • Create and modify 2D drawings of railway infrastructure projects using CAD software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and SketchUp
  • Follow the project specifications and standards for the 2D drawings and adhere to the CAD file management and naming conventions.
  • Check and verify the 2D drawings for errors, omissions, and discrepancies and make the necessary corrections and revisions
  • Coordinate and communicate with engineers, architects, contractors, and clients to ensure the conformity and compatibility of the 2D drawings.
  • Convert and export the 2D drawings to different formats and platforms as required by the project deliverables and stakeholders.
  • Assist the engineers and architects in the preparation of design calculations, reports, and presentations using the 2D drawings.
  • Maintain the CAD database and documentation and keep track of the changes and revisions of the 2D drawings.
  • Ensure control and quality of the CAD process
  • Ensure the management of the template, bug tracking and the automation of some commands or tools.
  • Perform the CSD with input from various disciplines at the right time in the design process.
  • Ensure consistency of the overall design
  • Give notice to the design when a CSD will be performed on a given area and make sure that relevant information is available
  • Inconsistencies verification (clash detection) at CP106 level
  • Issue CSD report to the Design Manager and stakeholders; communicate issues & concerns concerning coordination, approvals and system interface issues.

 

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in design,
  • Proven skill of CAD (AutoCAD)
  • Proven skill of CAD 3D is a plus
  • Already worked in several design teams
  • Fluent in English – French and Japanese is a plus
  • Communication skills demonstrated in experience.
  • Experience in Civil and System projects (railways project is a Must)

This position will work within our Water Service Line for flood prevention and adaption activities in the Philippines. We shall be tasked with proposing improvements to flood risk management, planning and development of flood protection infrastructures.
