Job title

ATM Safety Consultant

Job description

Experience
·       At least 5 years of post qualification experience in the field of safety management or safety assessment; 8 and above years of experience will be preferred.

·       Demonstrable evidence of having applied safety techniques to maintain and improve performance within a complex, safety-critical environment, such as Aviation or ideally Air Traffic Management.

·       The safety and broader risk management expertise to bring to an operational, dynamic and hugely varied aviation industry undergoing significant change.

·       Familiarity with different safety topics including hazard identification, risk assessment techniques and requirements management as well as safety argument production techniques such as GSN.

·       A strong understanding of software assurance activities, with an associated experience in the Aviation domain or equivalent, would be a benefit;

·       Experience in applying new safety regulatory requirements such as Certification Reg 2017/373 would be a distinct advantage;

·       Knowledge on Open architecture and ATM systems would be desirable.

Profile

Education and Training
·       A bachelor’s degree in engineering science or above awarded by a tertiary institution in any part of the world or equivalent;

·       Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint);

·       Excellent command of written and spoken English.

·       Excellent communication, team worker, consensus builder and effective meeting chair in his/her domain of expertise;

·       Ability to identify and analyze complex issues and suggest and implement solutions;

·       Ability to maintain cooperative and effective working relationship;

·       Flexible and agile approach to delivering excellence in consultancy services and meeting or exceeding client requirements;

·       Willingness to contribute to maintaining and improving safety performance across both existing and advanced forms of air mobility;

·       Proactive nature with a drive to see projects through to a conclusion;

·       An interest in wider consultancy projects and other activities within our aviation businesses as well as the technical work.
