Galson Sciences Limited (GSL) is a dynamic consultancy and research company, specialized in radioactive waste management, surface, near surface and geological disposal and decommissioning worldwide. GSL joined the Egis group in April 2021. Egis is a major international multidisciplinary consulting and engineering, and mobility services group, with an over 70-year involvement in nuclear engineering worldwide, as Hinkley Point C, and more than 40 years experience in tunneling and geotechnical projects.

The “Radioactive Waste Business” within our Nuclear activity was created in March 2021 as a result of this merger. This has created excellent synergies, broadening the range and depth of experience on offer in support of radioactive waste management solutions in the UK, France and overseas.

You will work on a wide range of industry, regulatory and policy projects in the UK and overseas and will be given a unique opportunity to develop all-round experience in the nuclear decommissioning and radioactive waste management and disposal industry.

You will support the Radioactive Waste Product Line Manager on the following areas;

  • Support bid coordination and preparation, stakeholder engagement
  • Support the commercial strategy for the development of the Radioactive Waste Product in France, in the UK and abroad, relying on transversal synergies within the activity, the BU, and the group and the development of a team or network in France
  • Support management of radioactive waste management consultancy projects,
  • Ensure the quality, timely delivery, and consistency of all multi-disciplinary deliverables
  • Manage  the cost, contractual management and report writing
  • Support the preparation of specific deliverable
  • Manage the external and internal interface management.

You may also take part on the integration process of GSL into the wider Egis group. The subject will be defined by the responsible according to the progress of the integration and the structuring of Egis UK Country Direction at the mobilization date.”

You have an MSc degree and more than two years of experience in a project management/coordination role in the field of nuclear waste management.

Experience in one or more of the following areas would be advantageous:

·         work in the nuclear industry, and in particular radioactive waste management

·         work in complex and multi-disciplinary engineering projects, with surface and underground facilities

·         experience in developing upstream strategic studies.


In addition, you will be able to demonstrate :

  • excellent written and oral communication skills using the English language,
  • an aptitude for applied problem solving,
  • self-motivation and initiative,
  • successful teamworking and
  • an ability to deliver high quality work to tight timescales

You will also be fluent in English and French.
