Business Line specific context

The Finance Manager supervise, track and evaluate day-to-day activities.

Finance Manager responsibilities include preparing and consolidate the financial data of the business line of the countries. He is the financial local referent by developing and deploying the internal software systems (DEAL) for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting information. The Finance Manager works closely with the Country director.

He or She reports to the Financial Director ME.

The Finance Manager will plan and direct the financial activities of Egypt finance department

Job description

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manages the finance staff who are responsible to entry and maintain the books of their respective entities, do the financial reporting, billing, collections, payments.
  • Audits accounts to ensure compliance with local tax rules; follow & coordinates with accounting local team and external auditors to provides needed information for the annual external audit.
  • Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term objectives and policies.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company (payroll, invoicing, and other transactions)
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly group reporting for Egypt.
  • In charge of preparing the budget per project with the project directors of the Business lines.
  • Follow the cash flow position for all entities of the country.
  • Establishing the quarterly closing figures with the Managing director of Egypt.
  • Prepare and make sure that the monthly budget & accounting closure are perform on time.
  • Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies or financial reporting standards.
  • Ensure the quarterly reporting data on the consolidation package for all entities of Egypt (BFC).
  • Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax return.
  • Audits accounts to ensure compliance with local tax rules; follow & coordinates with accounting local team and external auditors to provides needed information for the annual external audit.
  • Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term objectives and policies.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Profile

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent management and supervisory skills.
  • Fluent in English is a must.
  • Ability to work and effectively communicate with senior-level business partners
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting and data mining.
  • Strong demonstrated use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA a plus.
  • 5-8 years of experience in accounting and/or financial analysis.
  • Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
