EGIS Rail have a newly created position for a Systems Integration Manager that will be involved in various Rail projects. One of our biggest projects at present is the Cork Area Commuter Rail Programme. This project focuses on the Rail signalling and communications improvements which will facilitate the planned increases in rail capacity and service frequency, bolster the signalling system's reliability, and support Iarnród Éireann’s continued safe operation of the railway.

In rail our Irish team is well established, having designed Dublin’s first Luas (tram). We’re involved the metro in Riyadh, in Thessaloniki, the Grand Paris Express and the HS2 in the UK. Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES & MAIN ACTIVITIES: 

  • Managing and coordinating the design to ensure a complete and fully integrated final design is achieved to meet the quality requirements. 
  • Managing  the design, construction and system integration across all packages and interfacing projects to ensure the programme is adhered to in terms of safety approvals and technical approvals and acceptance of each stage in accordance with I-SET-9100 Engineering.
  • Management for Projects 
  • Coordinating and collaborating with all stakeholders
  • Contributing to reporting – safety, technical, programme and cost.
  • Contributing to the management of risk in accordance with the contract, operating the early warning and risk-reduction process, maintenance of the risk registers including the employer’s project risk log, contract risk register and early warning risk register.
  • Providing technical support to the overall commercial and contract management for the project .
  • Providing technical inputs to programme monitoring & scheduling as applicable to administering the NEC 4 Option C Target Cost contract with activity schedule.

Profile

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: 

 

  • Degree in either Project or Construction Management, or Engineering or related project management qualification.
  • Experienced in using NEC 3 or 4 contracts, preferably Option C - target cost contracts at post-contract stage.
  • Working knowledge of NEC Contract Mechanisms.
  • Coordinating design development and construction activities to deliver a cost effective, high quality and safe approach to design, construction, commissioning and other technical activities.
  • Management of project controls (design submissions/RFI’s/submittals/meeting minutes/approval of processes).
