Job description

  • Reviewing MEP system and equipment related construction documents and auditing contractors and
    subcontractors’ deliverables for quality and adherence to specifications, budgets and schedules
  • Liaising and attending coordination meetings with client, contractors, consultants, construction manager and other key at the sites of construction to solve technical issues and other related matters
  • Undertaking general project site observation and inspections of the mechanical services works for contractor’s adherence to the approved shop drawings and client’s specification, good working practices and construction schedule
  • Reviewing all aspects of site preparation and temporary works construction onsite for conformance with contract documents
  • Enforcing the relevant safety rules at site and monitoring all aspects of the work for compliance with security, health and safety requirements
  • Taking part in risk workshops and reporting any risks associated with MEP installations
  • Continually review the contractor’s construction schedule during the progress of site works with regards to MEP services and helping to resolve any program delays
  • Monitoring progress of the work for verification of progress payments and schedule
  • Conducting daily briefing with site team leaders to follow-up and report on the work progress in order to anticipate any possible delays with regards to planned tasks
  • Taking immediate corrective action to avoid any cumulative effect of such deviation and recover the delay to finish the task in due time
  • Assisting the Project Manager in the supervision and management of construction activities to assigned project
  • Assisting in the planning and sequencing of the construction operations according to the Project Quality Plan
  • Conducting regular inspections and assess the work performance done by all subcontractors
  • Evaluating and resolving any discrepancies and problems arising during construction which affect the quality of works performed
  • Helping to prepare the MEP section of the monthly progress reports

Profile

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical.
  • Rail or metro project experience
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience
