Job title

Centralized Control Engineer

The Centralized Control Engineer participates in the design review and engineering team, leading systems activities under the supervision of the senior centralized control engineer and in coordination with the project key stakeholders.

Job description

  • Implement the development practices and rules as defined in the train control support plans. 
  • Review CC/SCADA system design submitted by the contractors to check the compliance with specifications required by the contract, client’s requirement and local operation practice. 
  • Strong experience in systems ICD for sub-system participating in its function. 
  • Perform control engineering activities for one or several functions from architecture to detailed specification, interface and functional principle. 
  • Experience in maintenance activities for system alarms, architecture with signaling and ATC and external systems like MEP, telecom, power, rolling stock. firefighting, AFC..etc. 
  • Supporting and centralized control engineer and other team during deliver the contractual deliverables according to the approved design, technical specs, and quality standards, installation and T&C activities. 
  • Conduct design review of structural elements in a thorough and timely manner 
  • Support other members of the Consultant’s technical team on technical issues 
  • Provide relevant input for regular and ad-hoc reports.  

Profile

  • BSc degree in electrical/mechanical engineering.  
  •  General overall experience (10) years including 6 years of professional experience in the same field.  
    4 years of experience in management and implementation of similar projects and in a similar position.  
  • He/She will have knowledge of the main railway systems used in the Metro and the safety requirements for the designs, according to international standards and accepted best practice. 
  • Arabic: Native proficiency would be an advantage 
  • English: Bilingual proficiency  
  • Strong communications, coordination, and management skills
