J.B.Barry and Partners currently require a Junior CAD Technician who has excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. You will be a vital part of the team and will be helping contribute to the continued growth of J.B.Barry and Partners. 

 J.B.Barry and Partners  is one of the  Countries leading Civil Engineering Consultants, and has recently been acquired by the Egis Group. The J.B.Barry/Egis Group currently has over 16,000 employees, and is involved in some of the largest engineering projects in the world.

The person will be responsible to produce drawings or models using Autodesk software. This role will require working with and for the relevant senior Engineers, design engineers and senior CAD technician to complete any stage of a project for the department the person is assigned.

Job description

 

  • Productions of detailed drawings and models on project at every stage of design
  • Compliance with Company CAD Standards
  • Compliance with Company BIM systems
  • Printing books of drawings
  • Keeping up to date with drawing software upgrades via inhouse/external CPD
  • Communicating frequently and with the senior CAD Technician
  • Ability to manage multiple project drawing requirements.
  • Support to Design Team
  • Formatting drawings to individual project requirements
  • Working for and aiding different departments on projects if required
  • Formatting drawings to individual project requirements
  • Filling in timesheets weekly and correctly on coretime

Profile

  • Knowledge of drawing software tools – Autodesk, Autodesk Civil 3D would be an advantage.
  • Revit skills would be desirable.
  • A working knowledge of the principles of Waste and Water Treatment Plants, Pumping Stations and pipe networks would be an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of the principles of road design would be an advantage.
  • Good understanding of correct drawing presentation using standards
