Responsible for leading the General Engineering, Façade & Sustainability activities globally, the Building Service Line Director will play a crucial role in driving the company's growth and operational efficiency. This position is responsible for developing and expanding the Energy & Sustainable City Business Line's footprint in the US, integrating recent acquisitions, transforming working practices to align with climate change challenges, and executing an offshoring strategy to optimize production costs and manage talent market scarcity.
The role requires close collaboration with the Business Line (BL) CEO, other Service Line Directors (SLDs), Regional Business Line Directors (RBLDs), Country Managing Directors, Regional and Business Line commercial organizations, tender units, communication and marketing teams, finance and accounting.
The Building Service Line Director is a member of the Business Line's Executive Committee and reports directly to the Business Line's CEO.
The Key Responsibilities in this position will cover four areas:
- Strategy
- Define and lead the development strategy for the activity in alignment with the global objectives of the Business Line and the Group.
- Identify priority markets and set guidelines (order intake objectives, external growth objectives, etc.).
- Analyze market trends and growth opportunities and adapt the strategy in consultation with the Regional Business Line Directors.
- Implement performance indicators to track the achievement of strategic objectives.
- Production
- Supervise strategic operations to ensure the quality and performance of projects.
- Optimize processes to improve efficiency and productivity across different regions.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards on all projects.
- Ensure Egis technical excellence signature, by developing and coordinating technical networks throughout the company.
- Development of key resources, by defining recruitment needs and monitoring key personnel: project managers, key project positions and experts.
- Responsible for staffing key positions on major projects (project managers, experts, etc.).
- Commercial & Finance
- Support the Regional Business Line Directors in developing their products and identifying new business opportunities.
- Define priority markets (geography, market segment, customer profile), order-taking objectives and acquisition targets to ensure growth.
- Develop and manage the activity’s budget, ensuring the profitability of projects.
- Negotiate contracts with clients and partners, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.
- Responsible for the Go/NoGo on major offers, in coordination with the RBLDs, validate Major Project bids.
- Relations with Other Activities Worldwide
- Provide added value and maintain strong relationships with the RBLDs to share best practices and resources.
- Participate in international meetings to align local objectives with the Group's global strategy.
- Facilitate exchanges and cooperation between Egis entities worldwide.
Location: The preferred work location is the UK, however we are open to candidates throughout Canada or the US with a preference to those located in Eastern time zones.
Skills and Experience:
This position requires an understanding of our technical environment, natural leadership, and a strong ability to work in a highly intercultural dynamic.
