The vacancy is working as part of a JV for Anthro (Egis & VVB Engineering) to support the HS2 Old Oak Common station project where we are managing the MEPHFC package of work.
This role will be based on site near Acton 3 or 4 days a week.
We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Electrical Engineer to join the Egis Transport Solutions MEPHFC Design Team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in either rail station or buildings electrical services design and coordination.
As an Electrical Engineer you will review and produce electrical designs. We are looking for someone who’s dedicated, diligent, and driven, and will take this challenge head on, being part of a dynamic team with big ambitions.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and monitor technical submittals for approval by the client
Producing electrical designs to project requirements
Develop design from feasibility up to As Built
Production of design proposals (e.g. sketches) for agreement with the client, stakeholders, subcontractors, suppliers etc.
Writing project communications such as Requests For Information (RFI’s) & meeting minutes
Maintaining trackers, registers and schedules
Carrying out design reviews and working to design assurance processes
Electrical Engineering qualification
Experience in rail station or buildings electrical services design and coordination
Experience of working in an engineering production environment
Experience of multi-disciplinary design and coordination, and the delivery of projects to a high quality, throughout all design stages
Experience of working with 3D models in a BIM environment
Experience of producing drawings, schedules and calculations
Ability to find solutions to engineering problems
Capable of managing design interfaces and integration processes
Knowledge of British Standards and Regulations
Understanding of project scopes, requirements, works information
Awareness of delivering work to a programme and budget
Effective communication and collaboration abilities
Capable of working as part of a team and on own initiative
Good understanding of electrical systems from a technical and design perspective
Experience using engineering software tools including Trimble/Amtech Pro Design, Dialux or Relux
