Job description


  • Oversee the design and construction of TSE/Irrigation Systems in accordance with Project procedures.

  • Develop comprehensive design guidelines for Water & TSE network.

  • Assess tenders, compile tender reports with recommendations, and participate in the selection of designers and contractors.

  • Take responsibility for producing TSE/Irrigation design packages throughout all stages, from post-concept design (including specifications, cut sheets, and schedules) in alignment with contractual obligations and scope of work.

  • Prepare design reports, technical specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BoQ) for Civil/Water/Irrigation Utilities works and associated equipment.

  • Create Civil/Infrastructure water utilities design drawings (including Storage Tanks/Reservoirs, Pumping Stations & Transmission and Distribution Pipelines such as Layouts & Profiles, Valve Chambers, Air Valves, Washouts, Isolation, Interconnection, etc.).

  • Review Technical Design Reports (Irrigation Water Demand, Pipe Sizing Calculations, Hydraulic Calculations, Pipe Material Selection, Technical Specifications, etc.).

  • Oversee  the  design  and  construction  of  the  water  supply  network,  ensuring  compatibility  with  the  urban environment.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, regulations, and local authority requirements for both design and construction.

  • Collaborate with internal and external design organizations to secure the delivery and approval of TSE/Irrigation project designs.

  • Monitor the progress of design and construction delivery, identifying areas for improvement and taking corrective action to address outstanding issues.

  • Ensure timely adherence to critical dates within agreed cost and technical requirements. • Conduct design and construction risk assessments.

  • Manage communication and coordination with various TSE/Irrigation stakeholders, including clients, municipalities, government bodies, and work teams.

  • Perform any additional duties related to the position as required. 

Profile


  • Degree in Engineering with a minimum of  15 years of experience in large scale water projects.

  • Proficient in design and business acumen

  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with a track record of motivating teams and achieving results, both internally and through external partners such as suppliers and third-party consultants

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities and mobilize resources and expertise to capitalize on them

  • Experience in interpreting and comprehending local regulations, rules, and design guidelines

  • Comprehensive understanding and practical knowledge of TSE/Irrigation design techniques and solutions

  • Familiarity and practical knowledge of TSE/Irrigation construction techniques and solutions

  • Exceptional capabilities in client meetings, presentations, and report writing

  • Proficient in Project Management and adept at Bid Preparation
