Egis Rail with its partners (altogether called METAV) have been appointed as Network Manager, to work closely with the client in managing the planning, design and construction of 3 new underground metro lines in Tel Aviv. The 3 new metro lines will total 149km and 109 metro stations to serve 24 municipalities. Key figures:
· Operational in 2032.
· Estimated 2 million passengers per day will benefit from the new metro network.
· €40bn estimated cost.
· Benefits to Tel Aviv: 30% increase in public transport use and €8bn in economic benefits to the local economy.
This giga-project requires a Technical Discipline Lead Architecture & UR. You will lead all activities relating to Architecture within our project METAV Tel Aviv Metro Network Manager.
Specific Responsibilities & Accountabilities :
· Responsible for the development of the Programme Architectural Design Concept for various elements of the Programme (including stations and specific elements of the stations and also the integration in the urban environment
· Continually assess, analyze and propose suggested changes, updates and/or amendments to the Programme Architectural Design Concept, and ensure its application by all relevant parties
· Participate in preparing a preliminary list of required permits, consents and approvals for the design, delivery, implementation, construction, operation and maintenance of the Programme
Participate in ensuring the timely submission and approval of Permits
The candidate should have:
· Senior Architect with at least 15 years’ experience in major infrastructure/transportation projects including mass transit (metro)
· Experience in permitting for large scale mass transit projects
