Egis has been working in Romania for more than 20 years, providing engineering and consultancy services in road and rail transport sectors as well as water and environment, energy, urban development and other institutional advisory services.

With a strong orderbook and exciting growth and expansion plans we are looking for a commercial and procurement expert to join our tendering team to help develop and expand our business in Romania.

Job description

This job will require you to be able to:

▬    Plan, coordinate, submit and manage technical proposals, liaising with our technical experts, when needed

▬    Operate as part of team, coordinating with other members of the Tender Department and technical (engineering) departments and with the external partners

▬    Take responsibility for authoring and delivering key bid documentation (technical proposals)

▬    Ensure compliance with internal procedures of Egis Group

▬    Report on tendering activity, including through appropriate tools

▬    Participate in technical and commercial meetings internally and externally with partners and clients, where appropriate

Profile

We recognize that each applicant will bring different experience, but the ideal candidate will have:

▬    At least 5 years of proven experience in preparation of tenders for engineering/ consultancy services in accordance with the Romanian procurement law/ IFIs

▬    Experience in working with SEAP/SICAP

▬    Experience in methodology writing and preparation of overall technical proposals, for public and private tenders, especially for infrastructure projects (water, rivers, waste, roads, rail, etc.), and various consultancies

▬    Some experience in contract administration

▬    Strong attention to detail (eg to ensure compliance with detailed tender requirements and processes)

▬    Good skills in organising, scheduling, planning and co-ordinating activities

▬    Flexibility and adaptability, to respond to tender deadlines

▬    Strong communication skills to support wider commercial activities (eg preparing technical material for marketing and communications)

▬    Fluent Romanian, and excellent spoken and written English

▬    Solid computer skills (proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project)

▬    Technical background would be a plus.
