Job description
EGIS is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability Consultant to join our Middle East team. The consultant will be responsible for helping clients improve the sustainability performance of their building designs. This will include developing sustainability strategies, providing guidance on green building practices and regulations and embodied carbon/whole life cycle analysis of the building designs. They will need to have a strong understanding of building systems, energy efficiency and embodied carbon accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting embodied carbon assessments of upcoming and existing assets and providing recommendations for reducing upfront carbon.
- Developing sustainability strategies and roadmaps for clients.
- Providing guidance on green building practices, regulations, and certifications.
- Assisting with the design and implementation decarbonization strategies.
- Communicating with clients and project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Preparing sustainability reports and presentations for clients, stakeholders and internal teams.
- Staying current with industry developments and trends in sustainable building design and construction.
Profile
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Environmental Science or related field
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the field of sustainable building design and construction
- Strong understanding of building systems, energy efficiency and embodied carbon.
- Experience with green building rating systems such as LEED, Estidama, Al Sa’fat, WELL etc.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency and experience using OneClick LCA, or other lifecycle assessment software is a must.
- LEED AP, Estiama PQP qualifications are a plus.
