Job description

  • Developing environmental and sustainability policy.
  • Assist in developing and implementing Environmental management systems.
  • Plan sustainability strategically and create a tangible brand to anchor the relevant aspects of sustainability at the airports which will reduce environmental impacts and while supporting high, stable levels of economic growth and social progress.
  • Support in initiating and managing environmental and sustainability related projects and create and maintain comprehensive project documentation with focus on Time, Budget, Quality and Performance throughout project lifecycles.
  • Maintaining relationships with key strategic solution players, airports operators, airline operators and airport specialized providers.
  • Implement the strategic direction into priorities, objectives, projects, and a clear evaluation framework.
  • Initiating and managing relevant sustainability projects, to identify opportunity areas for new technologies, processes, products, and services, which will be feasible, viable and desirable for sustainable airport operations.
  • Reviewe all Environmental Impact assessments studies submitted by third parties.

Profile

  • 10 + years of experience with at least 5 years in Aviation Industry
  • Environmental Degree or Diploma
  • Trained and experienced ISO standards lead auditor (9001, 14001 or 45001)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Sharepoint) and other relevant applications
  •  Statistical and data analysis ability
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Develop the environmental policies and procedures and ensure the are implemented consistently and effectively.
  • Review Environmental documentation as requested.
  • Facilitate and participate in environmental risk assessments and ensure risk registries are maintained up to date.
  • Review local legislation and where gaps are identified, propose action plans and monitor closeout.
  • Develop Environmental Activity plan and ensure all Environmental requirements including inspections, audits and emergency response are listed as appropriate at intervals of time.
  • Prepare schedule and conduct internal and external Environmental audits.
  • Establish and manage tangible KPl's relevant to the area of responsibility
  • Monitor Environmental statistics and identify trends.
  • Report trends in a timely manner and prepare action plans to promote continual improvement.
  • Follow-up closeout and maintain Environmental central action tracking registry.
  • Initiate Environmental training needs analysis and coordinate implementation.
  • Lead and assist with incident investigations and prepare reports
