The MENS’ BU (Project structuring, Operation and New Services) is one of the world leaders in the financial project structuring of PPP projects, as well as in the operation of infrastructures and services. In the road sector, Egis operates and maintains 44 roads and highways, including civil structures such as bridges, viaducts and tunnels. Through 28 operating companies, Egis employs more than 9,300 people in more than 20 countries, i.e. nearly 4,400 km.
In the airport sector, our BU operates, maintains and develops a network of 17 airports around the world, handling more than 30 million passengers and 330,000 tons of freight per year.
The MENS’ BU also offers a wide range of services for its customers such as electronic toll collection, interoperability and on-street parking management.

Job description

The candidate must actively seek to recover the operation and maintenance costs and minimise financial risk through contract change. This can only be achieved through working closely with (1) technical and operational teams to identify and evaluate the impacts of changes on the overall project costs and (2) other commercial members to acquire cost information and to ensure compliance with the contract requirements.

·      ensure commercial & contractual control and co-ordination of the efforts of all parties involved in the contract change,

·      provide guidance to other members of the Commercial/Quantity Surveying team on all aspects relating to contract change, and

develop and maintain symbiotic working relationships with members of the Finance, Procurement, Assets and Operational communities.


The following qualities/experience are essential:

·         Sound working knowledge of construction and contract law and various forms of Conditions of Contract

·         Significant knowledge of construction techniques on particular projects

·         Ability to apply the knowledge and principles of commercial management to a highways business

·         Working knowledge of basic plant, equipment and materials

·         Ability to implement procedures to quantify and cost construction works, including the use of appropriate standard methods of measurement

·         Understanding of the requirements to provide and obtain Insurance, Bonds and Warranties

·         Proficiency in  administration, writing, numeracy, IT and MS Office

·         People management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels

·         Proven ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative

·         Enthusiasm and results focus, with an ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines

·         Effective negotiation skills with both internal and external customers


The following qualities/experience are desirable:

·         Holder of a valid CSCS Card

Membership of RICS/CIOB/ICE or Inst CES
