Job description

The M25 is one of our Flagship projects in the UK! It is the most used part of the UK Strategic Road Network with it seeing over 200,000 vehicles per day and it’s a critical infrastructure asset for personal and goods vehicles into and around our capital. The network includes around 800 structures and 5 tunnels, so it requires high levels of performance, constant improvement and repairs to keep it operating smoothly.

We’ve formed a Joint Venture project called Connect Plus Services (CPS) to work with our partners to widen, operate and maintain the M25 under a 30-year contract and are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor who’ll work in the service delivery team managing the traffic signalling and road traffic electronic signage across the M25 Network. This person will also be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of the technical services sub-contractors and self-delivery teams.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Undertake procurement of Subcontractor packages
  • Manage and be responsible for the process of monthly assessments of the Subcontractors applications
  • Prepare weekly and monthly budget/cost reports
  • Take part in weekly and monthly budget/cost reviews
  • Complete cost verification audits of the Framework Contractors
  • Assist with preparing the monthly report for the remaining forecast for the year for each of the service maintenance elements
  • Assist with preparing the monthly report for the CPS Senior Team including progress, fees earned, cost to date, forecast and EVM
  • Assist with supply chain scoring

Profile

  • Experience in road traffic monitoring, signalling and electronic signage
  • Previous experience of managing a Commercial staff
  • Previous relevant experience in commercial management of NEC subcontracts
  • Detailed understanding of the operation of the NEC contract
  • Experience in Cost Accreditation auditing
  • Membership of a relevant professional body and/or working towards a relevant professional qualification is desirable, such as RICS/CIOB/InstCES
  • A valid CSCS card is required
