Within the Power Supply and OCS department, you will support the development of our project activities in the Asia Pacific Region and internationally.
Particularly, you are leading detailed design assignments for the projects in Asia and other parts of the world where Egis supply design services for our customers and Egis system integration projects.

The Senior Power Supply Design Engineer main duties consist in carrying out design studies, from feasibility to construction phases. This covers:   

• Traction Power Simulation Studies – DC & AC
• High Voltage Power Supply Architecture and distribution Studies (Power Flow)
• Harmonics and flickers studies / Interface with public Grid authorities
• Protection selectivity and settings studies
• EMC/EMI & Electrical Safety
• Earthing & Bonding schemes, Stray current management
• Power Supply Equipment detailed specifications
• Installation drawings, cable routing, Civil Works Interface
• Interfaces with other sub systems

At Project and Department level, the Senior Power Supply Design Engineer is expected to:

• Lead and organizing Power designs and calculations within implementation and renewal projects
• Manage and Train design engineers, comprising of BIM and CAD operators
• Manage the design production, in terms of Quality, timelines and budget;
• Manage the relationship with the client and other stakeholders;
• Assist on a punctual basis head of department and directors in their own duties ( Participation to tenders technical proposal / Business development actions
• Providing guidance, training, and feedback with other related disciplines and skills, locally and across Asia.

The scope of Works covers:

• Urban Mass Rapid Transit Systems
• Suburban Conventional and High Speed Railways

• Degree in Electrical or Electrotechnics Engineering (master’s preferred
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in Power Supply Design (traction, High Voltage distribution, Low Voltage) for Railways Projects
• Qualified professional working under limited supervision capable of performing technical studies and with
• Ability to work in an International Context – Good level of English (oral & writing)
• Relevant experience in handling, leading and checking power conceptual and detailed designs.
• Experience of Works in BIM is also appreciated.
• Pack Office skills – Mastery of Excel is a must (VBA is a plus).
