Job description
- Responsibilities and competencies:
- Applies broad and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to project engineering specifically in Electrical Engineering.
- Makes decisions independently concerning problems on the project.
- As assigned, represents the PMC as the Sr. Electrical Engineer and Design Manager on the project and with the client to resolve technical questions and as required to coordinate work.
- Maintains contacts with client representatives as directed, with suppliers, appropriate field personnel, Project Engineers, and Engineering disciplines to ensure the coordination of the work within the project or assignment and compliance with Bechtel/client requirements.
- Accountable for coordination of Engineering and Construction/Procurement activities, in accordance with the established technical quality standards, cost, and schedule.
Profile
- Accountable to ensure facilities and systems are installed in accordance with the engineering specifications and requirements.
- Coordinates with the designer of record and provides field support during construction.
- Ensures design documents reflect as-built conditions.
- Manages the specification of construction hold points and inspection requirements.
- Coordinates resolution of field questions related to field change notices and design change notices.
