Designing and managing complex rail transportation projects, from high speed to urban mass transit is our mission. Egis’ rail business line, present in over 120 countries, together with 16 000 employees of the Egis Group has been serving its clients for over 50 years.

In order to support our strong growth, Egis is recruiting Railway Design Engineers for the Czech Republic. Our diverse team is working on two  projects today  (High Speed Lines preliminary studies on RS1 VRT Bechovice – Poricany and RS2 VRT Modrice – Sakvice) with many more planned.

Based in Prague, you will be part of our High Speed Line projects and our other future transportation projects in the Czech Republic, in the design phase. To carry out the projects, you will collaborate with a local and international team (mostly based in France).

Your technical background will be the your key asset. Your activities will include but not limited to:

·  Design high-speed railway for the Czech market from feasibility to preliminary design using recognized design tools

· Verify the work of other Designers in the team ensuring it meets the client’s  requirements and design standards.

· Prepare technical plans and project reports

· Find solutions to remediate project issues (eg due to technical requirements or time schedules)

· Offer to our clients technical support and services depending on your own field of competence (systems,  civils, system integration) and domain of experience (urban metro or tramway, conventional or high speed rail)

· Participate and support review and approvals processes, including from sub-designers

Profile requirements

A minimum of 6 years’ experience is required as a Design Engineer, in the railway industry. The experience can be extended to road engineering.
Civil Engineering degree, or alternatively an Electrical or Mechanical degree can be considered with suitable railway experience.
You are able to work independently and within a team environment.
You are able to lead designers to deliver design packages within the timeframe and budget allocated.

Your wish to contribute to a team with a high level of expertise and innovation oriented and you can demonstrate such skills.
You are fluent in Czech
You can communicate in English in at least intermediate level and wish to progress your language skills.
