Job description

The Senior Centralized Control Engineer will play a vital role in managing the overall activities of the Centralized Control Systems in the OCC (Operation Control Centre) related to design, testing, and integration of the Centralized Control Sub Systems in a HSL context.

  • Lead the design review, from an operational and maintenance perceptive, of all related centralized sub-systems and more specifically lead the review of the SCADA design submitted by the contractor.
  • Review technical specifications for Operation Control Centre Subsystems, design of the OCC layout, SCADA, Telecommunications and Signalling, operating plans, test case scenarios delivered by the Contractor.
  • Evaluate design information to ensure conformity to industry best practice and ensure that client requirements are fulfilled.
  • Test cases for implementation during the commissioning and acceptance of SCADA and related centralized sub-systems.
  • Review and approval of the operational safety case.
  • Review the contract and the specification that the supplier has given to make sure that it matches the requirements.
  • Reviewing the Factory Acceptance Test Procedure and Plans to ensure the compliance with the contract
  • Meeting with the contractors and the supplier to make sure all are in compliance and changes are within the scope of the supplier and the contract.
  • Facilitate and participate to the Factory Acceptance Test of the SCADA system and centralized sub-systems.
  • Preparing reports, request for more information and letters to the client for clarifications that may arise.
  • Assisting other Systems Team Members on their subsystems as it interfaces with SCADA and centralized sub-systems.
  • Assist in preparation of Emergency Response Plan.

 

Profile

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering with a minimum of 15 years of experience in largescale rail project.
  • Large project experience in role of Systems Engineer
  • Operation Control Center experience
  • Experience with the construction methods and maintenance procedures for various transit systems components
  • Extensive experience in OCC interfaces issues with signaling systems and other related subsystems. 
  • Understand maintenance concept and RAMS requirement.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Ability to work well within a multi-disciplined, multicultural project team
