Job description


The M25 is one of our Flagship projects in the UK! It is the most used part of the UK Strategic Road Network with it seeing over 200,000 vehicles per day and it’s a critical infrastructure asset for personal and goods vehicles into and around our capital. The network includes around 800 structures and 5 tunnels, so it requires high levels of performance, constant improvement and repairs to keep it operating smoothly.


We’ve formed a Joint Venture project called Connect Plus Services (CPS) to work with our partners to widen, operate and maintain the M25 under a 30-year contract and are looking for a Security Officer to work as part of the wider security Operative team undertaking duties within the security office, security patrols and marshalling. 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Monitor and operate security CCTV systems.
  • Support the transport of cyclists across the River Crossing.
  • Patrol and audit the network and Depots on foot and in a vehicle.
  • Respond to all security related incidents.
  • Manage the issue of keys.
  • Manage the issue of contractor permits.
  • Accurately maintain security procedure audit trails.
  • Ensure all security policies and procedures are robustly applied.
  • Support the Security Office Administrator.
  • Any other duties, commensurate with the position, as required by the Security Manager.
  • Marshal all vehicles coming into the KMA (Kent Marshalling Area).
  • Process Dangerous Goods Vehicles.
  • Liaise with DVSA and the emergency services.
  • Monitor Forward Tanker bay.
  • Prepare KMA as Emergency Services RVP – if required.
  • Follow and act on directions from Control Room Manager in relation to movement of vehicles from the KMA.

Profile

 

Qualifications & Skills required:

  • Strong customer service experience
  • Full valid driving licence
  • Admin experience
  • Ideally prior experience in a security officer role

 

Working arrangements: 

Shift pattern: 2xdays, 2x nights, 4xdays rest
