We are looking for Scheme Project Managers or Consultants with experience in Rail Telecom's or Signalling Projects.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Knowledge of GSM-R (Global System for Mobile Communications – Railway) or FTN (Fixed Telecoms Network)
  • Involvement in a Re-Signalling Project would be useful.
  • Responsible for compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and championing the Health and Safety culture, resolving arising issues or escalating as appropriate and ensuring safe delivery in line with the corporate safety vision.
  • Managing safety and performance of the project for NR, within own team and own role, challenge and feedback to others on their safety performance and behaviours.
  • Initiating the project - check feasibility and work out budgets, teams and resources
  • Consolidating and documenting the fundamental components of projects (scope, schedule, resource requirements, budgets, risks, opportunities and issues, and quality requirements)
  • Providing a detailed response to the Sponsors Instruction or Remit, clearly defining what resources tools and techniques will be utilised to deliver the defined outputs, typically stated in terms of scope, time, cost and quality.
  • Design Management: Managing internal design resource and external suppliers, ensuring that design meets remit requirements and is delivered to programme.
  • Managing the project’s budget, monitoring expenditure and costs remaining within acceptable tolerances in forecasting and authority.
