Job description

The M25 is one of our Flagship projects in the UK! It is the most used part of the UK Strategic Road Network with it seeing over 200,000 vehicles per day and it’s a critical infrastructure asset for personal and goods vehicles into and around our capital. The network includes around 800 structures and 5 tunnels, so it requires high levels of performance, constant improvement and repairs to keep it operating smoothly.

We’ve formed a Joint Venture project called Connect Plus Services (CPS) to work with our partners to widen, operate and maintain the M25 under a 30-year contract and we are looking for a Risk, Performance & Quality Manager to support the CPS Asset Management Office (AMO) in collating, communicating and driving improvement around asset risk and performance reporting.  The role will also oversee the AMO Quality Management Systems (QMS) and act as the main conduit between the AMO and other CPS support functions such as HR and Finance.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the AMO & Engineering Group risk reporting function, ensuring all teams accurately capture and record technical and business risks in line with our corporate and stakeholder requirements, and that these are escalated appropriately.
  • Responsible for Asset & Engineering Performance Group reporting, ensuring that all Asset teams accurately capture and record technical and operational performance data and that these are reported in line with our corporate and stakeholder requirements.
  • To improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Performance and Risk capture process across the AMO and Engineering group, championing local process enhancements and ensuring the adoption of enterprise-level risk requirements and improvements.
  • To act as a focal point for recruitment and HR issues within the AMO & engineering group, facilitating effective liaison and coordination between the responsible AMO line managers and HR. Monitoring AMO & Engineering Group compliance with HR policies on behalf of the Head of AMO.
  • To act as a focal point for financial compliance and reporting within the AMO & engineering group, facilitating effective liaison and coordination between the responsible AMO line managers and Finance. Monitoring AMO & Engineering Group compliance with financial policies on behalf of the Head of AMO.
  • To act as the champion and focal point for the Quality Management System (QMS) used within the AMO & Engineering Group. Monitor compliance with the QMS policies on behalf of the Head of AMO and identify, develop and embed QMS improvements.

Profile

  • Practitioner-level experience in Risk capture and reporting systems
  • Practitioner-level experience in Performance reporting functions
  • Advanced user skills and experience with Microsoft Office Excel
  • The ability to generate and present statistical data in tabular and graphical forms.
  • Familiarity with business-unit financial control and practices
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and monitoring teams for adherence. Experience of QMS improvement projects preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with demonstratable experience in building effective relationships across teams and with support functions.
  • Demonstratable communication skills through a variety of formal and informal channels, including verbal, presentations, written reports, and e-mail.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)
