Job description

The Railway Signalling Engineer shall be responsible in providing signaling and train control engineering support. This is a challenging and rewarding role, working with a collaborative and intelligent team of international rail specialists.

Key responsibilities include:

· Review / prepare / manage all documents that may relate to Design, Manufacturing, Testing and Commissioning activities for signaling and control system.

· Participate and / or lead the production of technical and financial proposal for signaling and train control related bids.

· According to opportunities, manage signaling and train control related projects and associated staff, guaranteeing client satisfaction and Egis’ turnover targets.

· Support interface / integration team in defining and managing the integration process between signaling/control system scope and Civil Works, all other subsystems interfacing with signaling (rolling stock, traction power, track, etc.), and third parties when required (eg. Civil works).

· Prepare/ present reviews and reports to reporting manager(s) regarding ongoing projects and business opportunities

· Ensure a proper archiving system of technical documents (site progress, site conditions, equipment used and corrective actions).

· Be familiar and comply with the company’s Safety Policy and Quality Management System

· Interface with other roles in the organization:

  • Liaise and coordinate with other technical disciplines leaders/engineers
  • Collaborate with project management teams
  • Work in collaboration and provide ad hoc support and inputs to other disciplines
  • Provide relevant information to other department such as communication, marketing, HR, Finance within the limits of the project.




EDUCATION LEVEL: Bachelor Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 10 years experience in international railways field and with relevant Project Engineering and Signalling Construction experience

SKILLS: Knowledge of signalling plans, circuit books and other associated signalling designs /  signalling civil works / project management structure, plans, specification, standards and implications for project accountabilities

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Understanding of Project Design, Quality, Safety and Environmental Management Plans
