As Rail Senior Project Manager reporting to the Rail Director Egypt, you will be responsible for the effective execution of consulting services of rail related projects in Egypt.

You will lead the technical team which will deliver the design services of new Rail and Metro Projects which will include several disciplines such as Civil-, Structural-, MEP-, Architectural-, Systems-, Systems Assurance-, Interface and Integration- of both underground and elevated Metro and Rail Projects.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

· Lead the technical management team, ensuring harmony and coordination between disciplines.

· Coordinate the various internal and external technical stakeholders (partners, particularly designers, subcontractors, etc.).

· Involved in the project management of Metro preliminary and concept design preparation.

· Serve as technical expert to make engineering decisions, accept design proposals or technical solutions, make recommendations, resolve technical clashes, etc.

· Manage a team of local and international experts for consulting services.

· Responsible for engineering documentation approval /management.

· Ensuring that risks are identified and controlled.

· Represent Egis at the Client meetings and manage the coordination between the Client’s Team and the Egis’s Design Team.

· Ensure that the relevant staff is assigned to the projects, anticipate recruitments/replacements and participate in the recruitment process if/when required.

· Ensure that the projects’ deliverables are submitted on due time, according to Egis quality standard and at Client satisfaction.

· Monitor the progress of the projects and take preventive actions to reach the contractual milestones

· Monitor the project costs (staff and expenses) and the invoices to the Client, with the support of the Project Controls Engineer.

· Provide regular reporting to the Rail Director Egypt about the project’s status, main issues / blocking

The candidate should have:

· University degree at minimum Bachelors level of a recognized Civil Engineering Faculty

· 15 years of professional experience in the field of rail projects, out of which

· 5 years in a management position in an international environment.

· A least one previous experience in the management of design phase for an Underground Metro project

· A previous experience in Egypt or in a Middle East country is a plus.

· Excellent communication and management skills and capacity to negotiate and develop good relations at work and fluent in English (fluent in Arabic is a plus).

· Experience in technical project management and good skills in organizing, scheduling and coordinating as a part of a team is required.

· Determined to act in a responsible way in business activities as well as in social and environmental impact.
