Job description
- Report through a principal of the QA/QC to the chief executive officer or other designated official of the Contractor regarding contractual, financial, and staffing issues.
- The individual from the QA/QC in charge of the onsite Quality Control Work shall be designated as the Quality Assurance Officer (QAO).
- Maintain personnel at the Site of the Work whose sole responsibility shall be the development and overall management of the QMS and have the authority to act in all QA/QC matters for the Contractor.
- Prepare method statements for concrete water retaining structures
- Review concreting sequences and schedules
- Follow-up of dewatering activities, concrete testing, soils quality testing
- On-site supervision of rebars installation, concrete preparation and pouring
- Implement comparative analysis based on performance, in line with specifications and Employer’s Requirements
Profile
- Have at least a BSc Degree in Civil or Hydraulic engineering
- The QAO must have at least 10 years of engineering experience, with at least five years’ experience in quality control management.
- The QAO shall be registered with the Construction Development Centre in Mongolia or equivalent professional body/institution.
- The QAO shall have the authority to act in all QA/QC matters and to make prompt changes in construction procedures if and when necessary to positively ensure the quality specified.
- Have overseas experience of large construction projects
- Have experience on water or wastewater treatment plants
- Demonstrate experience on design, supervision and coordination of the construction of hydraulic works : treatment plants, pumping stations, intakes, reservoirs, etc...
- Familiar with autocad, revit, Navisworks softwares for civil design
