Job description

Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: 

  •  Monitoring all site construction and inspection work when required or instructed by the Mechanical Lead.

  • Directly coordinating with the contractors regarding project activities such as the construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and client’s requirements

  •  Prepare daily and weekly inspection report

  • Reviewing operational process and installations to ensure that the subcontractors comply with the design, standards and specifications of the contract documents

  • Ensuring the subcontractors comply with operational and safety, quality standards

  • Assisting to identify, respond to or evaluate field construction technical issues to maintain the schedule

  • Verifying field measurements

  • Providing documentation relating to changes in contract work

  • Reviewing and supervising subcontractor daily and weekly inspection reports

  • Assisting in compiling Bill of Quantity (BoQ) reports for monthly pay estimates

  • Participating in weekly design review meetings with quality and Mechanical Engineering team 


Skills and requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or construction related degree

  • Minimum 3 years experience in Mechanical Engineering on heavy civil projects (or 9 years for nondegree holders)

  • Knowledge of the technical problems related to the mechanical construction activities

  • Must have experience inspecting civil works, monitoring site progress and reporting to site engineers

  •  Excellent written and verbal English language skills 

  • Experience of Airport projects
