Job description
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform quality control inspections on electrical installations, equipment, and systems to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Conduct regular audits of electrical work processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality procedures and best practices.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to develop and implement quality control plans and procedures specific to electrical works.
- Review electrical design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct pre-inspection meetings with contractors and other stakeholders to communicate quality control requirements and expectations.
- Monitor the installation and testing of electrical systems to ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications.
- Perform inspections and tests on electrical equipment, materials, and components to verify their compliance with applicable standards and specifications.
- Document and report non-conformities, deviations, and deficiencies in electrical installations and equipment and recommend corrective actions.
- Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to address quality issues and implement preventive measures.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to electrical quality control.
Profile
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical quality control or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Experience conducting inspections and tests on electrical systems and equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with project teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Relevant certifications or training in quality control and electrical standards are an advantage.
