Job description


The M25 is one of our Flagship projects in the UK! It is the most used part of the UK Strategic Road Network with it seeing over 200,000 vehicles per day and it’s a critical infrastructure asset for personal and goods vehicles into and around our capital. The network includes around 800 structures and 5 tunnels, so it requires high levels of performance, constant improvement and repairs to keep it operating smoothly.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for a number of projects at different stages of the project lifecycle. Within each project you’ll have responsibility for:
  • End to end management of the project, to include scheme development and engagement through the life of the project with the asset team, designers, sub-consultants, construction team and contractors.
  • Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders to include but not limited to Planner, Construction Manager, Project QS, Asset and Designers.
  • Management of the P6 programme with the planning team, including identification of critical path activities.
  • Commercial management of the project to include but not limited to cost plan, supply chain quotations, review and approval of invoices, forecasting, review of applications with the commercial team.
  • Commission and manage internal and external resources in terms of quality, budget and programme.
  • Lead on Gateways and collaborative cost reviews with the Client and project team. 
  • Adhere and apply the project governance procedure, including leading in presentations both virtual and in person with preparation of the supporting documentation to pass through project gateways.
  • Routine reporting on project schedule / progress, risk and commercial status of the project internally and to the Client.
  • Engage in the Collaborative M25 Community, including Balance Scorecards, forums and workshops as required.
  • Support the delivery of the business’ Sustainability activities and business plan objectives.

Profile

About you:

  • Project Management Experience preferably supported by recognised Project Management qualification, PRINCE2, APMP etc
  • Preference of minimum degree qualification and membership of appropriate professional institution or working towards such qualification
  • Broad skills, knowledge and understanding of Highway or Structures Engineering and associated design areas
  • Knowledge of CDM and other H&S and Environmental legislation related to Highway Engineering
  • Knowledge of the NEC (New Engineering Contract) and other relevant forms of contract
