Job description

The M25 is one of our Flagship projects in the UK! It is the most used part of the UK Strategic Road Network with it seeing over 200,000 vehicles per day and it’s a critical infrastructure asset for personal and goods vehicles into and around our capital. The network includes around 800 structures and 5 tunnels, so it requires high levels of performance, constant improvement and repairs to keep it operating smoothly.

We’ve formed a Joint Venture project called Connect Plus Services (CPS) to work with our partners to widen, operate and maintain the M25 under a 30-year contract and to support our continued growth and success, we are looking for a Project Management Graduate to join us at either our South Mimms, Leatherhead or Dartford depots. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Egis Graduate programme while working on the Connect Plus Services Joint venture where you’ll have the opportunity to work a wide range of areas across the Project Delivery and develop a well-rounded skill set with diverse business knowledge.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support delivery on a range of renewals and improvements projects from design inception to close out following construction project types varying from structures, tunnels, highways and technology across the M25 network.
  • To identify and embrace change and promote innovations as the key to continuous improvement
  • Proactively establish relationships and dialogue with colleagues at all levels of the organisation and its stakeholders and when applicable, provide support to the project delivery teams
  • Attend various internal team meetings as and when required
  • Support the delivery of the Business Sustainability activities
  • The opportunity to visit and share experiences with other Egis graduates across the global team and organisation

Profile

  • Minimum of 2:1 or above, expected or achieved in Project Management subject or similar
  • Driving licence
  • Enthusiasm and results focus, together with an ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Excel
  • An understanding of the importance of presentation skills, including the utilisation of visual tools to communicate outputs to various levels of the business and external stakeholders
  • Familiar with the concept of key performance indicators

 

Next steps: We will be looking to hold our next Assessment centre from our London Waterloo offices on Friday 17th May. If you are successful at the assessment centre, you’ll be invited for a final interview with the hiring manager for your team. If successful, we will be looking at a start date in the 1st week of September 2024
