Job description

Job Overview 

The Project Director will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple concurrent projects within a Program. The Project Director will be a single point of contact for clients and other stakeholders pertaining to all projects within the Program.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Plan and design the Program to coordinate and optimize the dependencies and the interfaces between individual projects
  • Develop the Program governance (rules, processes, metrics, controls, etc.) to ensure quality and overall integrity of the Program
  • Monitor and manage the Program’s progress, schedule, risk, budget, and resources; resolve program issues; and initiate appropriate corrective action
  • Assign staff to individual project teams and optimize allocation of common resources and skills among projects
  • Manage third party contributions and stakeholder communication for the Program as a whole, including routine Program status updates to stakeholders
  • Business Development, including preparing tender documents

  • Exemplary client management and communication skills
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Fluent in English (written and oral)

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an environmental discipline (environmental engineering, environmental science, geotechnical engineering, geology, hydrogeology, ecology, toxicology, etc.)

Registrations/Certifications required

  • PMP certification (or equivalent project management certification and skills)
