Our expertise extends to depots, operations, maintenance analytics and asset management across all aspects of rail, including transport, technical and sustainability assessments and systems infrastructure.
With a secured programme works and ambitious growth plans for our Turnkey services, Egis are recruiting for an experienced candidate for the position of Project Accountant. The role will be based in Old Oak Common, London. Working on-site 3/4 days a week.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Processing all the AP invoices on our internal invoicing system.
Processing of Supplier Statement Reconciliations. - Managing all AP queries and taking ownership of any follow-up actions when needed.
- Managing payment for expenses liaising with suppliers and the payroll team runs weekly for expenses, suppliers and Payroll.
- Calculating the intercompany recharging costs with the guidance of the Finance Manager and the UK CFO.
- Ensuring the distribution of the intercompany invoices in a timely manner.
- Monitoring the monthly closing activities which includes prepayments, accruals and relevant reconciliations.
- Supporting the team with any financial audits, process improvement or system issues.
Handling various queries, as well as ad-hoc finance duties, whilst also supporting the wider finance team. - This list of activities is not exhaustive and can be adjusted over the coming months, in line with the Group’s priorities.
Skills and Experience
Qualifications
Experience of working on Engineering, Construction or Infrastructure projects is beneficial.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position within the UK.
Attention to detail.
Project management skills.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to work with Excel.
Good knowledge of bank reconciliation/payment processing.
Strong knowledge of project accounting and reporting.
Excellent communication skills.
A previous system implementation experience is a plus.
Qualifications
- A Finance related Degree
Qualified Accountant (AAT, ACCA or CIMA)
