Job description

The M25 is one of our Flagship projects in the UK! It is the most used part of the UK Strategic Road Network with it seeing over 200,000 vehicles per day and it’s a critical infrastructure asset for personal and goods vehicles into and around our capital. The network includes around 800 structures and 5 tunnels, so it requires high levels of performance, constant improvement and repairs to keep it operating smoothly.

We’ve formed a Joint Venture project called Connect Plus Services (CPS) to work with our partners to widen, operate and maintain the M25 under a 30-year contract and are looking for a Programme Optimisation Manager to ensure that the Optimatics system optimisation and re-optimisation processes are managed effectively. This role is a perfect blend of technical acumen, data analytics, and stakeholder coordination aimed at ensuring seamless road space booking and network management within the Area 5 network, especially on the M25.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the interface management between the Optimatics system and key stakeholders to ensure system optimisation aligns with stakeholder needs.
  • Conduct thorough data review and optimisation of input data, ensuring accuracy and alignment with Optimatics requirements.
  • Coordinate system change requests proactively, maintaining system optimization amidst changing operational needs.
  • Deliver training and briefings to teams on the Optimatics system, data input control, and quality, driving a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Manage road space bookings meticulously, ensuring data accuracy, timely information transfer, and identifying opportunities for road space sharing

Profile

Qualifications & Skills required:

  • HND/HNC or equivalent experience with a strong background in system optimisation, re-optimisation, and data analytics.
  • Proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), data management, and analysis.
  • Sound understanding of IT systems including Optimatics, Aconex document management system, Business Collaborator, Power BI or other reporting systems is desirable.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a knack for complex analysis and data interpretation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with a methodical, output-focused approach.
  • Ability to work autonomously, showcasing strong initiative in problem-solving and decision-making
