EGIS Saudi Arabia Engineering Consultants is seeking an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to lead our in-country Electrical Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and directing the activities of the electrical engineering team, supporting work winning, interfacing with clients, and working closely with all other design disciplines to ensure project success. This is a strategic leadership position, requiring a strong focus on business development, team management, technical expertise, and project management skills.
Job description
• Manage and lead the electrical engineering team, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure project success
• Work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their objectives
• Develop and implement strategic plans to grow the electrical engineering team and expand the company’s footprint in the market
• Collaborate with other design disciplines, including civil, structural, and architectural teams, to ensure project success
• Provide technical leadership on projects, ensuring that designs are innovative, efficient, and meet the highest standards of quality
• Participate in business development activities, including proposal writing, client presentations, and networking events
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful project delivery
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies
• Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and standards
• Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the electrical engineering team and across the company
Profile
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership position
• Chartered Engineer status with a relevant professional body
• Strong technical expertise in all aspects of electrical engineering design and construction
• Proven track record of delivering successful projects on time and within budget
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team of professionals
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Strong business development skills, with a proven ability to win new work and expand the company’s footprint in the market
• Understanding of local regulations, codes, and standards related to electrical engineering
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software
• Ability to work collaboratively with other design disciplines, including civil, structural, and architectural teams
