Egis has been working in Romania for more than 25 years, providing engineering and consultancy services in road and rail transport sectors as well as water and environment, energy and urban development markets.

Our diverse team is working on more than 20 major infrastructure projects today with many more planned or expected. Amongst these are complex projects such as the Railway and Road Feasibility studies. Designing and managing complex transportation projects, from high speed to urban mass transit is an increasingly important focus of our mission in Romania, drawing upon the 50+ years of experience that Egis group has in the rail domain.

In order to support our strong growth in Romania, Egis is looking to expand our team of high calibre designers by recruiting a senior rail designer. If this sounds interesting, then we’d like to hear from you.

Depending on your level of experience, the job of a Price lists and construction costs estimation expert will require you to be able to:

▬    Preparation of quotations, price calculations, post-calculations

▬    Permanent coordination of relations with project designers, subcontractors, builders and clients.

▬    Establishes the price bases and draws up the estimate by category of work in the tendering programme or in the Excel programme

▬    Is familiar with the execution technologies and the way in which operations are carried out in the execution processes.

▬    Establishing relations with colleagues and/or subcontractors, in order to solve in a timely and good conditions all problems arising during the course of the activity

▬    Directly responsible for the fulfilment of the duties and tasks set by the team leaders

We recognize that each applicant will bring different experience, but the ideal candidate will have:

▬    At least 5 years of experience working in Romania in the preparation of estimate documents, with constant exposure to working with public authorities and audits

▬    Excellent computer skills in MS Office, AutoCAD, WinDev, Deviz10 or other Devize programs

▬    Strong sense of responsibility, high standards of ethical behaviour and ability to work independently and take decisions,

▬    Confident, clear and polite style of verbal communication one-to-one or in a group, including ‘active’ listening,

▬    Technical/Engineering degree,

▬    Fluent in Romanian. Good spoken and written English.
