As Track Engineer you will contribute to HSR, conventional railway, Metro and LRT projects on their Track Design activities.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Key responsibilities and duties
- Develop and revise the geometric layout plans of the railways;
- Develop and revise the design of the track structure, including its armament, components and drainage aspects;
- Discuss and validate complex designs with experienced engineers;
Manage and collaborate with technicians, CAD designers and other engineers; - Prepare and review plans and other deliverables;
- Ensure that all requirements including customer requirements, technical specifications, job descriptions and industry standards are met;
- Prepare quantity estimates and bills of quantities;
- Develop technical reports and specifications;
- Perform interdisciplinary coordination with other disciplines such as signalling, traction energy, structures, etc.;
- Support vendor, procurement, construction, testing and maintenance teams;
- Participate when required in the supervision of works, factory acceptance tests and on-site acceptance tests;
- Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to anticipate problems and ensure the smooth running of projects and perform other related duties as assigned.
Essential
- Knowledge of construction principles and standards including RSSB Group Standards, Network Rail GRIP Process and Company Standards;
- Knowledge of track engineering contract conditions and safety standards including CDM and CSM-RA;
- Broad experience of leading Engineering in a complex, safety focussed and regulated organisation with multiple complex interfaces;
- Flexibility in working hours will be required to meet the demands of the role;
- Computer literate and conversant with:
- MS Office suite;
- Bentley™ RailTrack™;
- Microstation™; and
- AutoCad.
Desired
