Job description

We are seeking a Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Graduate/Technician to join the team working out of our Leatherhead/South Mimms/Dartford offices; however, we welcome flexible working.

 

You will be working in small team of professionals overseeing key Tunnel M&E and Technology assets that are located on the M25
The work will involve, helping in, assessing the condition of assets and planning, and specifying renewal and maintenance works to optimize asset service life and performance.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the asset management of Tunnel M&E and Technology systems in Hatfield, Holmesdale, Bell Common and Dartford East and West tunnels
  • Assist in the proper maintenance of the assets database, by documenting, updating, and auditing assets O&M documentation and lists, to ensure compliance with all asset management technical and safety aspects
  • Assist in coordinating and carrying out tunnel M&E inspections as per the agreed programme and deadlines
  • Carry out inspections on M&E systems, equipment and components analyse data, assess, and record the condition and performance of the M&E systems
  • Prepare inspection reports including recommendations for repairs and renewal
  • Ensure adherence to the Health and Safety Policy and Procedures and contribute to a high standard of Health, Safety and Welfare
  • Participate in coordination meetings, and interface with the asset team, service delivery team and sub-contractors' teams

Profile

  • Electrical / Mechanical technician with a HND or higher Qualification or equivalent demonstrable capabilities gained through experience
  • Knowledge of electrical and electromechanical systems (LV power, HVAC, Ventilation, pumping stations) and associated codes and standards
  • Ability to travel between the tunnel sites and occasionally work during nighttime tunnel closures for annual inspections and site surveys
  • Able to work effectively as part of team and possess good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical drawings and design & Inspection Reports in area of specialism
