North-Link M1 Ltd is the O&M contractor with responsibility for the operation of the Toll plaza along with the maintenance of the 53km of motorway on behalf of the concessionaire CRG. North-Link staff collect the tolls and maintain the road infrastructure to the high standards required under the PPP contact.


Northlink M1 Ltd are currently recruiting a Maintenance Technician to join the team! 


Purpose of the Role: To undertake the maintenance of all mechanical and electrical systems related to the toll plaza and associated tolling systems/equipment which will include hands-on maintenance of the tolling and building hardware components.


 


 

Job description

Main Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Maintenance of Electrical and Mechanical systems as required.

  • Maintenance Management System administration. 

  • Participate in Maintenance Management meetings and workshops.

  • System owner of complete systems e.g. ventilation, MV, LV etc.

  • Provide On-Call cover on a rostered basis.

  • Completion of Preventative Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance.

  • Control Safe Work Permit and other safety registers.

  • Participate in Health and Safety meetings and management of assigned actions resulting from action plans. 

  • Prepare and review internal procedures, method statement and risk assessments.

  • Ensure Health and Safety and Quality compliance.

  • Review and approve external contractors’ procedures, method statements and risk assessments for their works on site.

  • Responsible for the management of local contracts.

  • Manage contractors during maintenance operations.

  • Assess quality of work completed by Contractors.

  • Work with Engineers and suppliers to identify and solve problems and to improve the reliability of tolling systems.

  • Support the Management team in delivery of the Operations and Maintenance agreement.

  • Improve Preventative Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance systems.

  • Assist with budget and expenditure reports.

  • Manage and undertake improvement work to enhance equipment reliability, documentation and maintainability.

  • Deliver Inductions and Toolbox talks.

  • Develop and manage small projects.

  • Other maintenance activities as directed.



Skills:



  • IT or  Electrician qualification

  • Communication Technical Support

Profile
