Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal support to all Egis operations in APAC including offer review, negotiation and contract execution;
  • Draft, prepare and review legal documentation relating to the day-to-day operation of the various entities in APAC;
  • Handle company secretarial and compliance matters including anti-bribery and corruption, anti-money laundering, conflict of interest and data protection, etc.;
  • Assist in the formulation of internal policies, procedures and guidelines for the Group in accordance with the statutory requirements and the Group’s standard and regularly audit the procedures, practices, and documents to identify potential risks and minimize legal exposure;
  • Perform ad-hoc assignments or projects as required; and
  • Directly report to the Legal Counsel - APAC 

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in law (common law) and/or other related disciplines;
  • At least 3 years’ experience in-house legal department (consulting engineering industry is preferred);
  • Good command of written & spoken English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Mandarin);
  • Proficient in PC skills and MS office applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing;
  • Attentive to details, well organized and responsible with good interpersonal skills, able to explain details to business units and communicate well with all stakeholders in the organization;
  • A good team player and able to manage multi-tasks under pressure; and
  • Willing to learn and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
