Job description

The Landscape Designer creates a Landscape Architectural design that is fit for purpose
(following the Client Brief), functional, technically accurate, and as artistic as possible without
compromising the local laws and regulations, and conforms with applicable standards codes,
and policies.

Profile

• Technically sound to ensure landscape design is well coordinated with specialty groups,
engineering disciplines, the client, vendors, contractors, construction, and other divisional.
• Evaluation, selection, application, adaptation and modification of standard Landscape
Architectural techniques, procedures, and criteria to achieve a high level of design output.
• Develops design solutions, high-quality presentation drawings, and technical packages from
concept design, through design development, final design to tender and contract
documentation.
• Performs the full range of professional Landscape Architectural activities with a high degree of
technical judgment and creativity.
• Reports status of assigned projects and all circumstances that could affect projects or clients to
senior landscape architect.
• Analyses and reports on the suitability of materials, techniques, and/or challenging coordination
requirements.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the application of Landscape Architecture / Engineering to ensure
constructability and economic rationalism is applied to construction methods and materials.
• Maintains effective working relationship and effective communication with sub consultants,
project management, clients & client representatives, stakeholders, and agencies.
• Works closely with Team Leaders to highlight discrepancies in drawings or lacking areas to
ensure smooth delivery of project.
• Reviews and resolves RFI queries from the Project Team , assembles sample boards and secures
materials from suppliers
• Liaises with design team on design, coordination issues.
• Attends meetings with design team and coordinates with all disciplines involved in projects (e.g.
architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical, interior design, specialist MEP consultants
associated with Landscape work).
• Supports administrative role when performing and planning landscape scope of work.
• Collaborate with other team members to determine design needs and requirements for the
project.
• Attend meetings with clients to propose or review design proposals, making modifications or
revisions at various stages of project.
• Prepare & maintain project documents like correspondence, minutes of meeting, notes etc.
• Traveling to the various sites to complete physical inspections, site supervision and site surveys
(If required).
• Assist in preparing tender applications, presentations
