Job description


Infrastructure design manager will provide serves as a fully capable professional who plans, organizes and manages the design delivery process to bring about the successful completion of  project. . He/She will coordinate accordingly between different department to make sure the deliverable are met.

Specific Responsibilities:

·       Provide technical input into design-related material and deliverables within the scope of the project.

·       Lead infrastructure design development, overall management of the infrastructure design services.

·       Responsible for managing the delivery of the infrastructure design for the project by verifying consistency in the designs produced by the design team with respect to adherence to the design criteria and required standards.

·       Assist in the scope development and tendering process.

·       Establish and implement design procedures and protocols to be followed by the Design Team for successful project delivery including project scope, requirements, deadlines, digital design management systems and tools.

·       Management of issues, risks and project change requests related to design, to ensure successful and on-time project delivery.

·       Reviewing design submissions for approvals.

·       Partaking in value engineering and cost validation exercises.

·       Supporting the Project Manager/Director in the overall project deliverables.

·       Writing weekly and monthly reports on the design progress.

·       Define the organization of the design and delivery process, including the level of client interface and oversight, resources and skills, design cycles, assurance approach, information and communication management and design packaging approach.

·       Use processes to delegate and ensure even distribution of tasks to project team members.

·       Contribute to design management input at early design phases and during the course of projects.

·       Routinely interacts with clients, contractors and others using skills of persuasion and negotiation to resolve critical issues.

·       Coordinating design activities across various disciplines within the design team.

·       Interfacing with the Client and other design team members regarding the production of information in line with agreed deliverables.

·       Understanding and managing changes to scope, budget and project.

·       Track and monitor status of all comments affecting design stage and final close-out.


Skills / Competencies:

·       At least 15 years of infrastructure design management experience.

·       Strong leadership skills and be able to make critical decisions.

·       Client liaison management.

·       Good knowledge and handling of project management.

·       Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures.

·       Ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems.

·       Experience in mega infrastructure project/program.

·       A highly organized, creative, and conscientious individual, capable of managing multiple key stakeholder expectations.

·       Fluent in English.
