Job description

  • Monitor the implementation of health, safety and environmental arrangements at project site level, in accordance with legal and client requirements.
    Keep up to date with the latest legal and health and safety standards.
  • Communicate and advise the Contractors on the implementation of the safe system of work.
    Lead HSE Meetings, Campaigns, Surveillances, Training, etc.
  • Carryout internal audit on WME and Contractor’s HSE management system
  • Review contractor’s health, safety and environmental plans, procedures, risk assessments and method statements against legal and client requirements prior to the work being carried out.
  • Deliver health, safety and environmental training to WME employees including but not limited to; induction, and safe working practices.
  • Ensure compliance with Company and Project KPI requirements.
  • Plan daily site visits across project sites to ensure health, safety and environmental measures are in place before work begins.
  • Carry out joint HSE inspections with contractor HSE personnel and Management Representatives to identify potential hazards and risks.
  • Record the findings of HSE inspections and suggest corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure the corrective/preventive actions are implemented at the site and the observations are closeout out on time.
    Raise Non-Conformance Reports and Suspension of Work Instructions if necessary.
  • Ensure the adequacy and efficiency of emergency response plans by carrying out mock drills as per the project schedule and performance standards.
  • Lead the Incident Investigation process and provide necessary technical guidance to the Contractor for identifying root causes and preventive measures.
