We work in the transport and energy sectors, providing consultancy, engineering and operations services for clients such as major airports, governments, regulators, cities and rail and road operators.

Connect Plus Services is a joint venture between Egis, Atkins and Balfour Beatty, providing the operations and maintenance for the M25, Europe’s busiest motorway!

We are now looking for as Finance Business Partner  to join the team working out of our Leatherhead, Dartford or South Mimms offices.

Job description

  • Act as Finance lead for the Service Delivery Directorate, and a key member of the Service Delivery leadership team.
  • Overall financial management responsibility, to include the provision of meaningful and accurate financial information, with insightful interpretation and analysis to help shape business performance.
  • To partner with operational and commercial colleagues to achieve improved business performance.
  • To communicate wider business objectives to the directorate via the budgeting process, and to achieve ownership of those objectives by the cost centre leads through education, participation in target setting, and their involvement in the monthly review of financial performance.
  • Providing a link between the Service Delivery Directorate and the central Finance department.
  • To embrace and lead change as the key to continuous improvement and help to embed a cultural shift from solely delivery to delivery of both programme and financial performance.
  • To implement effective data analytics to help understand business performance and enhance profitability.
  • Ensure robust cost capture and review at project level which is fully reconciled to business management accounts.
  • To represent the Directorate at Senior Management Team and Senior Leadership Team levels.

 

Profile

Qualifications and experience

  • CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualified
  • Strong technical accounting experience.
  • An understanding of information requirements at different levels of stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of producing quality internal financial reports.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage and implement change, LEAN processes or similar experience.
  • Team building skills.
  • Advanced MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, BI skills.
  • Good financial and non-financial systems skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of an ERP reporting system; Oracle R12 being desirable but not necessary.
