Job description

As a Project Manager, you will help the client become aware of, understand and access energy and cost-saving home improvement rebates.  Key duties include providing technical assistance by developing and maintaining an energy efficiency and electrification measure catalog, acting as a technical resource for internal and external stakeholders, advancing program processes and workflows within the program’s software solution, evaluating measure data from the State’s electronic Technical Resource Manual (eTRM) and identifying additional measures for program inclusion, and managing QAQC processes.  

 

Well qualified candidates will demonstrate an aptitude for working both independently and with minimal direction as well as part of a team.  Candidates will be expected to receive guidance on a project and desired outcomes, ask questions as needed, propose solutions within given timeframes, and directly interface with the client and their staff.  Ideal candidates will have experience serving utility clients and assisting in the delivery of their weatherization, energy efficiency programs, and energy usage reduction programs.  

Profile

Essential Job Functions

Assist the senior management in all phases of project implementation

  • Collect duration, sequence, and lead times from contractors and other partners
  • Generate schedule updates with input from management and direct reports
  • Distribute schedule and regular schedule updates to subcontractors, general stakeholders, and the client
  • Establish structure, direction, and approach for the project
  • Manage assigned support staff and the quality of their work
  • Manage assigned subconsultants

Project Start-up

  • Administer the Project Start-up Checklist as directed.
  • Read and understand all elements of the Prime Contract.
  • Read and understand project specific documentation requirements.
  • Assist with drafting of guidelines and standard operating procedures for assigned tasks and staff.

Prime Contract Administration – Assist with all of the following, as directed:

  • Coordinate all required administrative submittals
  • Generate monthly applications for payment (collaborate with Project Accounting and Senior Management), as directed.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled coordination meetings with the client, subconsultants, project partners, and other stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Senior Management in preparation for the meeting
  • Provide update of project schedule
  • Communicate issues requiring immediate action
  • Provide proper notifications of delay and/or additional cost
  • Ensure all requirements of the Prime Contract are met
  • Oversee and ensure timely closeout of the project.

Subcontract Administration

  • Manage the project admin’s responsibility to ensure that certificates of insurance are in good standing for subcontractors, inform Senior Management of any changes.
  • Help to resolve disputes with subcontractor regarding scopes of work
  • Attend and participate in contractor coordination meetings.
  • Provide assistance and work with Construction Liaisons in regard to contractor performance issues in field:
  • Review problems with contractor’s project management
  • Provide proper notifications
